Don't leave the rims yet!

Not for any particular reason, I was going to wait to mount the tires.  I guess it's time to get things done.  Now with the tires on the rims, I can start to work on the Goodyear lettering(both sides of the tire).

Perfect day to paint

The weather was dry, warm and a little breeze. With the rims done, now to the engine.

Finish wheels today?

It's one of those 5 hours of preparation and 10 minutes of painting.  I think all the wheels should be completed today.  Then onto the clutch installation and putting the engine back in.

Wheel progress

Removed the paint on 2 rims and taped them off.  I'll finish the other 2 today.

Working on wheels

Starting to work on the wheels.  Need to glass bead off the old blue and repaint.  Then I can mount the Goodyear's and letter the tires.

Parts arriving today?

My clutch parts are suppose to arrive today. But I just got a email from UPS.
 "Severe weather conditions have delayed delivery. / We’re working to deliver your package as soon as possible."

Waiting on clutch parts

What I have been waiting for should ship tomorrow.  The order was short a clutch disc.  So once I get the assemble I can place the engine back in the car.
Haven't done any work on the car these past couple of weeks.  It's been more about those spring chores.
Below is the results from my Goodyear paint test.  The paint didn't fall off, and no real yellowing of the white paint.  Much better result than the AVON tires.

Ordered the clutch parts.  Once installed I can put the engine back in.

We have an antique show coming up next week.  Still had to make 2 more show walls.

These are the last 2 walls I needed to make.    

F5000 Monterey entry list. A work in progress.

Working from a couple of different sources, this is the start of the list for Monterey.  49 cars.  Still four months away, I'm sure it will change a little.

Shift linkage completed

All the repairs consisted of turning sleeves on a lath.  This should make a big difference in shifting the gearbox.

This sleeve was a little trickier, had to make it oblong to fit.

The sleeve on the top I purchased at Lowe's store.  The one on the bottom is the end result turned on the lath.

And that sleeve will go into the hole just to the lower right.

April Fool's

Winter just won't leave.  Seems like a bad April Fool's joke.

However progress was made the other day.  The engine bay is done.

Driver harnesses for 2015

Removed the old driver harness(expired) and looking at replacements.

Engine bay cleaning

De-greasing and polishing the engine bay.  In a couple of weeks I'll order the new clutch parts and install the engine.
