What at first appeared to be a simple job turned into a 2-day event. The radiator was just suppose to bolt in. As I have now learned, a T190 and T192 radiator are not the same. But it's basically done. Pressure test the system, ran the engine, no leaks.
Between the rain showers there was the occasional 5 minutes of sun. Made a little progress on the nose.

Radiator support
Made a couple of brackets for the radiator support. This support I got from Eric. It's made to fit on the front of a Lola T190, but use a T192 nose. So it's 1/2 right and 1/2 wrong. The support was just a little short. The next trick is to fit the radiator hoses.

One step back
The radiator is back at the repair shop having that fitting moved. Should be done Thursday. Sanding the nose and now looking for some dry weather to spray the primer on. Wow, 3 weeks before the Glen, I better get going.

Close, but no cigar
Picked up the radiator yesterday. It did have a small leak, and that has been repaired. But - the nose of the car sits right on top of the radiator and a fitting on top is in the way. So I have to take the radiator back and have the fitting moved. This radiator came out of a Lola T190, and they have a completely different nose setup.

Exhaust headers have been installed with new gaskets. The radiator should be done today or tomorrow. I'm hoping this week will be a productive one.

The final piece of the puzzle
The radiator arrived today, just as UPS said it would. In order to make the necessary modifications to the radiator support, I needed the radiator. To make sure the nose fits correctly, I need the radiator mounted in the support. I guess what I'm trying to saying; I required all 3 at the same time to install it correctly.
Tomorrow I'll drop it off at the radiator shop and have them pressure test and flush it.

The dog ring problem has been resolved, ordered a couple from Chuck Haines. They should be here early next week.

Dog rings NG
Went to put the gear box back together and found the dog rings I purchased this past winter on ebay won't fit. Wow, I'm batting 1000. Eric also purchased the dog rings from the same ebay guy. He hasn't tried them yet. He will tonight. Stay tuned.
Nose repair.
With nice weather in hand, started to remove the paint on the damage nose. The new plan is to attempt a repair to the broken one and work on the spare one. With just a month before my first event, I think this is the best direction to go. Having never work with a fiberglass mold before, I'm going to save this project for summer.

2nd gear NG
Just started to change the gear ratios for Watkins Glen and discovered the 2nd gear I purchased over the winter doesn't fit.
The one on the right is correct. The one on the left is my replacement, must of fit a similar transmission. But doesn't fit mine.

Radiator on the way.
Talked to Eric yesterday and he will be sending my much needed radiator this week. I also asked if he got his tub(chassis) back yet from being completely rebuilt. He said "not yet", but it is suppose to be completed this week. Eric is really going to be pressed to get the car to Watkins Glen.
